The 2014 Cross Country season got an early start for a few teams as Bartram Trail, Flagler Palm Coast, Mandarin, and Vanguard toed the line in a quad meet the last weekend of August. Unlike most races, this meet had one race for the men and one race for the women with the men’s race going first.
Going into the guy’s race, Mandarin had the best team on paper as they were returning 5 runners who had gone sub 17:40 the year before. But it ended up being Bartram Trail who stole the show with Vanguard coming in a close second. Bartram finished with 29 point, placing 4 runners in the top 7. Vanguard finished with 33 pts, Mandarin with 86, and Flagler Palm Coast finished with 89 pts.
