Pine Crest, Bolles, Winter Park Among Fastest 50 XC Girls Teams in Nation (9/6)



Our national site recently released a list of the top 50 fastest girls cross country teams in the country based on the average season best times of the team's top 5 runners. Three Florida teams made the list lead by 2A power Pien Crest at 20th. The Panthers won the Martin County Under The Lights Invitational with a near perfect 20 points.  7th grader Tsio Yared and junior Julia Montomery finished first and second in 18:18.40 and 18:27.30 respectively. 

Bolles, the defending state champions in 2A, come in at number 41 on the top 50. The Bulldogs received a solid performance from junior Mackenzie Wilson and the rest of the team at the University of North Florida 110% XC Invitaitonal. Bolles placed all five runners in the top ten to edge Creekside for the victory.

Lastly, on the list is Winter Park. The 4A favorite Wildcats put on an impressive showing at the Astronaut Invitational beating 1A favorite Holy Trinity by 17 points. Freshman Rafaella Gibbons was the team's top runner clocking a time of 18:27.70  in her high school debut.
