There might not be a more versatile sprinter in the country then Tyrese Cooper. As an EIGHTH GRADER Cooper swept the FLYRA Middle School State Championship winning the 100 (10.61), 200 (21.26), and 400m (47.76). At the USATF Region 16 JO Championships he set a meet record and clocked a blazing 20.94s 200m (0.6 m/s wind), the fastest time of any athlete in the state and tenth fastest nationally at the time. "Smoke" as he is called will begin his freshman year at American High School where he will be reunited with former Miami Gardens XPress Coach Darius Lawshea. See what other boys in the state have the chance to challenge Cooper and break 21 seconds.
