Hey Flrunners, I would like to introduce myself if you don't know me already my name is Ari Cogdell. I'm a senior at American Senior High School in Hialeah, Florida. (had to be specific to clarify the confusion). I also signed my letter intent to the University of Tennessee- Knoxville for a full-athletic scholarship.
The 2015 outdoor track season is literally around the corner... NEXT WEEK! I know that everyone's juices and blood is flowing for this year as we all hope to accomplish our goals this season. In retrospect I had a great junior season, but I'm coming into my last year as a high school athlete as hard as ever! I have to leave an everlasting print in track & field for my peers. I've been training during the summer instead of competing and it was a huge investment because I learned new techniques, proper form, and getting stronger in the weight room just some vital things that I wouldn't have not attained if I competed.
As a team we are going to overcome some huge fates this year I truly believe that we will collectively overcome our obstacles and PR this season. We are going to finish where we left off and keep it moving in full force.
With a great athlete comes with a great mind so always think positive and trust your training because your coaches will not let you down and are only helping you reach your potential. Another important thing is to not chase times too early in the season because your body has to get accustomed to your race. Patience is key young grasshopper. SAYONARA.
