As we head into the final few days before the state meet, the talk usually centers on the competition. What will it take to win? Who will beat who? Who is better? But throughout this entire season, I've witnessed the true camaraderie of the sport.

Hey guys I'm back after another week of training! Writing from the ice bath again as this seems to be the only bit of free time I have after schoolwork, practice, more practice, and sleep. This past week has been a great week for me training wise I had a great technical breakthrough and I'm back on my training cycle hard.
Olympia junior Macon Rodier is one of the top throwers in the state. We are honored to have him blogging for us and giving us an inside look on his road to a state title.
Hey Flrunners, so basically there are county championships tomorrow and it's going to be my first real 400m of the year since I strained my hamstring at the Louie Bing Invitational in the 100m.
I have been running track for the majority of my life since first grade and now I'm finally a senior! It's crazy to think that I will be done with high school so soon. Something that most people wouldn't really guess about me when they talk to me or see me is that I've gone to a military school that I board at five days a week since I was a freshman.
A famous medieval poet once stated, "Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy." I thought this was the perfect metaphor for reaching your PRs in track and field. I always believed the early invitational in the beginning of the season serve a purpose for technique and race strategy purposes, but never expect to get your fastest times in the first few track meets.
As a two-sport student-athlete, I never really have an "off-season". Some of my comrades in the sports world understand this quite well. However, I have grown to understand my body and how to calm it by not thinking so much about my next competition. I can usually accomplish this by sketching or researching some issue on the Internet.
Hey Flrunners, I would like to introduce myself if you don't know me already my name is Ari Cogdell. I'm a senior at American Senior High School in Hialeah, Florida. (had to be specific to clarify the confusion). I also signed my letter intent to the University of Tennessee- Knoxville for a full-athletic scholarship.
Track season is literally a few weeks away and I honestly can't believe that it's my senior season. There have been many days where I didn't think I'd make it to where I am now. If you were going to tell me when I was a freshman that I would break both of my ankles and lose sophomore eligibility, but still be able to be sign to Michigan State (a Division I university and top 25 preseason college team), and have one last season to put myself out on the track for the world to seeā¦ I wouldn't believe it.
