Every Monday through Thursday starting at 3:00 p.m., we warm up together as one team. Prior to practicing, all the Lady Bull athletes come together to pray, tell a few jokes, then jog over to the coaches to discuss upcoming meets along with performances and other important topics. We go separately and start practice in our groups according to each athlete specific event(s) "Sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers, distance runners, and throwers."
Some may know our teams consist of top runners in the state in almost every event. When it's time to execute our workouts we tend to push each other. We remove negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. When one of the Lady Bulls decides to not workout well our coaches motivates them to get them focused. When it all comes down we practice hard whether we complain or not.
Besides that we not only come together when track is related, but we bond outside of things not consisting of running, jumping, and throwing. We may go to the movies, hang out at the beach, or even meet at the coach house to eat and just enjoy one another company. One thing the Lady Bulls have is great communication. We consider each other as family. When our team separates we will constantly call back and forth on Facetime. At meets we always cheer each other on by creating chants, and help a Lady Bull back on their feet when they are down. Now you have a slight idea of how the Miami Northwestern Lady Bulls function and operate.
