FSU Invitational (Pre-State): Who Is In Which Race? (As Of 10/2)

The top individuals and teams will go head to head this weekend on the state meet course, Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, for the 2015 FSU XC Invitational (Pre-State). The two day event will feature the Seminoles and other college squads in action as well as the high school JV races on Friday. Saturday, the high school action continues headlined by the first two races which will feature the best of the best in an elite race. There will be 203 High School Teams competing…

• 107 boys (a record) + 13 individuals
• 96 girls + 16 individuals

Including some of the very fastest…

• Boys holding 39 of the 50 fastest 5k times to date are entered
• Girls holding 35 of the 50 fastest 5k times to date are entered

And virtually all of the top-ranked teams (based on most recent FACA rankings)…

• The top 3 boys teams in 3A & 4A and the top 2 teams in 2A and 1A are entered (Entire 4A top 10; 7 of 10 in 1A, 2A & 3A)…
• The top 3 girls teams in all four Florida classifications (8 of top 10 in 1A, 2A & 4A; 4 of top 10 in 3A)
• In addition to Florida schools there are also schools from Georgia and Alabama entered

There will be 44 University/College Teams competing

• 23 women
• 21 men
• All of the big 5 -- FSU, Florida, Miami, UCF and USF -- will be represented
