Two girls added their names to the sub 18 club in 2016 with Bailey Hertenstein and Kayley Delay running 17:54.30 and 17:55 respectively, but none is faster than the 17:47.60 from Melbourne Central Catholic's Amanda Beach. Fourth through eighth in the rankings belong to freshman, while 51 girls have run under 19:30 this season.
