How did you get started in track and field?

I started running track my 8th grade year because my mom ran track in high school and I wanted to be like her.

Do you remember your first meet?

My first meet was at Raines. I was in the middle school meet at Bob Hayes. I ran the hurdles and placed 5th I think.

In the past you've done just the jumps. Do you enjoy not having to worry about track events as well?

I recently started back running this year and I enjoy it a lot , but i like jumping better .

What's your favorite event?

My favorite event is the high jump.

Recently your team traveled down to the Sam Burley HOF Invitational in Miami. How was that experience?

It was a good experience with the team. We got to compete against some of the country's top athletes and that motivated us .

You are ranked first in the long jump and second in the high jump in class 2A. What are your thoughts on your season so far?

I'm pleased with what i have done so far in the season and I hope to accomplish more .

What meets are you looking forward to this year?

Bob Hayes , State, and New Balance Nationals.

Speaking of Bob Hayes, it's a meet your school hosts and one you've competed in for the last three years. What do you love most about this meet?

I love the competition and i love the fact that it's at my school. I look forward to having a successful meet and meeting my personal goals and watching some good competition.

What are your goals for the rest of 2017?

I want to win state in the high jump and long jump. Marks wise I want to hit 5'10 and 19'0.
