Back in 1989 and 1990, Wilson led his Vero Beach High School track and field team to back-to-back state championship titles -- soaring past Miami Northwestern in 1990 with 51 points over the Bull's 31.
"You can't do anything but compliment them. They performed above what they were supposed to," Northwestern's Calvin Jackson said of Wilson's Vero Beach Squad in an Orlando Sentinel interview back in 1990.
Wilson's career is full of compliments from the coaches surrounding him, to the athletes he made an impact on.
The Tallahassee native is a member of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association, Florida A&M University Sports Hall of Fame, USA-Florida Track and Field, and Florida High School Athletic Association hall of fame.
