Mandarin Christian freshman Tyson Manley led the state last year as an 8th grader with a 1:58.51 800m. At the FLYRA Middle School state meet, he won the 800m (2:02.56) and the 1500m with a time of 4:16.70. He completed the distance triple with a 6th place finish in the 3000m in 9:28.39. Indoors in 2024 he ran a 52.89 400m, a 39.15 300m and a 1:11.96 in the 500m. He placed himself on the radar as one of Florida's Future Stars.
