Another week of district meets in Florida and another week of live streaming them! Take a look below at the four meets that we will be live streaming this week along with some of top tier athletes to watch on the track in each.
FHSAA 4A District 2 @ Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, FLWednesday, April 21 - 3 PM 4x800, 5:30 PM Running Finals
Watch LIVE
Rheinhardt Harrison and teammate Anderson Ball went sub 9 for 3200 meters last time we saw them on the track. We will see them team up again on the track in the first round of the FHSAA championship series at the district meet on their home track at Nease High School on Wednesday running in the 1600 and 3200 as well as potentially the 4x800? Could they work together to go for a fast time again or just coast thru onto the regionals?
Also, the Nease squad features one of the state's best hurdlers at both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles distance in Cyrus Ways, who should dominate both events at the district meet. His 14.34 and 38.03 season bests rank him 8th in the 110-meter hurdles and 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles respectively statewide.
More speed can be found in the girls' side of the meet with Sydney Campbell of Creekside in the 100 and 200 as well as Niobe Mims of Sandalwood in the 400 have run some very swift times this season thus far. The junior Campbell has kind of gone on the radar this year running sneaky fast times of 12 seconds flat in the 100 and 24.44 in the 200 as both were wind-legal efforts too. Mims threw down a 57.46 PR to win the 400 at the Gateway Conference Champs.
