The boys' field includes many of the top-ranked teams from the 3A classification between FL #16 Fort Myers, FL #21 Palmetto Ridge, FL #23 Naples, and FL #24 Osceola (Seminole). It could be a very tight team battle. William Stone of Osceola should be a strong favorite to take first individually, but a handful of challengers will be in the mix including Colsen Palmer of Fort Myers, Cooper Banks of Bishop Verot, Bernardo Barnhart of Palmetto Ridge, Isaiah Barajas of Naples, and Ryan Livingston of Dunbar.
Similarly, the girls' field pits two of 3A's best squads head-to-head early in the season between FL #8 ranked Osceola and FL #12 ranked Fort Myers. Expect to see upfront challenging for the first place individually two runners ranked among the top 25 in the state between FL #17 ranked Amy Meng of Fort Myers and FL #24 ranked Ava Povich of Evangelical Christian. Andrea Ballestero of Osceola and Katie Beam of First Baptist Academy are also very well capable of pulling off the win as well.
