Fastest Sophomore Boys At 2021 FHSAA State XC Finals

The top two sophomores in the entire state found each other on the course battling it out for the 3A state title on Friday with Leon's Patrick Koon able to withstand an honest challenge from Belen Jesuit's Joshua Ruiz with a winning time of 15:23. Ruiz trailed in 14 seconds later for second place at 15:37. The only two sophomores in the meet to break 16 minutes, while nearly 20 broke 17 minutes.
