FHSAA 1A Girls Long Jump
Leah Martin-Gonzales (St. John Neumann) 17-10.50
Leah Martin-Gonzales of St. John Neumann successfully repeated as state champions in both of the events that she was attempting to attend including the 100 meter hurdles and the girls long jump.
She was able to stay just ahead of a familiar rival and opponent in another Naples area athlete in First Baptist Academy senior Hannah Casey who leaped 17'7.50" for second place with the winning mark by Martin-Gonzales at 17'10.50".
