After finishing ahead of Malinda Underwood of Rockledge in two consecutive races as well as last year's conference champion Madison Carr of Astronaut on her home course last weekend as a runner-up at the Astronaut Invite, Brooke Yates of Merritt Island is quickly rising not only as a favorite for the Cape Coast Conference title in two weeks but her standing statewide to elevate from unranked to #14 overall in the state of Florida.
