
Looking ahead to next year's Florida high school cross country season with the projected fastest returning teams in the 4A classification for girls.
The now 2-time defending champions in Buchholz are fully capable of winning a third straight as their only major loss will be a big one in their #1 runner Kate Drummond but with Lucy Voss, Eleanor Whisler, and Emma White all returning and hovering around or under 19 minutes should still make them stout up front in races. Ashley Hamilton will bump up from their #5 to #4 runner and will need someone like Kaitlyn Goslinga or someone else to step up in the always critical fifth spot.
Niceville was ranked #1 in 4A for several weeks this season after their FSU Pre-State performance and will return nearly 5 girls who went under 20 minutes during their 2022 fall campaign which will put them back on the state title contenders list for 2023.
