Previewing Saturday's Races At FSU Relays

Girls 100m Hurdles

Sub 14 second hurdlers Chelsi Williams of George Jenkins at FL No. 2 13.54 and Brittney Jennings of Sandalwood at FL No. 3 13.80 will clash at FSU Relays as the top two entrants in the girls 100 meter hurdles. Jenkins and Jennings were a close 2nd and 3rd in last year's FSU Relays.

Will one of them be our 4A state champ at season's end?

Plus three more hurdlers in the FSU field ranked among top 10 in the state trying to make a push towards 14 seconds flat between Ellis Weekley, Kyra Swart, and Ar'briel Scott. Swart only a freshman has a best of 14.18.

Boys 110m Hurdles

If Kai Graves-Blanks is healthy and ready to compete this weekend at FSU then he will be the overwhelming favorite in the boys 110 hurdles as before transferring to Montverde Academy was the California state champion and one of nation's fastest returnees in the 110 hurdles with a 13.69 PR.

But after an injury suffered during indoor season and maybe a setback in his comeback last week at Bob Hayes, the boys 110 high hurdles could be wide open at FSU Relays amongst the remaining top seeds to see who can step up to take the win.

Second seed Kalib Branch of Lovejoy is ranked among the top 5 hurdlers in the state of Georgia, while other contenders include the George Jenkins duo of Rey Hernandez and Joshuwa Valentin among with Sarasota's Tyler Boyer all running times right now in the low 14 second range.
