WATCH: Hurricane Issam Roll Into Miami With 20.11 200!

After simply running away from the high school competition this past year, Montverde Academy senior Issam Asinga went down to compete against college and pro athletes at the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational on Saturday and recorded two jaw dropping wind legal times.

In the 100 meter dash despite a slow start out of the blocks, Asinga was able to finish second with his second fastest wind-legal time to date with a 10.15 performance against a -0.3 wind. The weekend prior at the Florida Relays, Asinga ran 10.10 wind-legal to move into the US top 10 all-time list and at the FSU Relays two weeks ago clocked a wind-aided 10.06 personal best in the event.

It was in the 200 meter dash later in the day though that the Texas A&M commit really shined as he defeated all the college and pro competitors in the fast section with him as the high school prep narrowly missed breaking Noah Lyles high school national record of 20.09 with his 20.11 blowout victory in a legal +1.1 tailwind reading.
