The boy's from Belen Jesuit hold down 6 of the Top 10 in the early season rankings, but Sr. Jonathan Pena of Westminster Academy became one of only 4 boys to go sub-15:30 on the Cecil Field course last week. Pena chased So. Marcelo Mantecon of Belen Jesuit who broke the course record of 15:15 set in 2022 by Leon's Patrick Koon. Pena is ranked #1 in 1A ahead of his teammate, Tanner Pritchard (#2) who was 11th at Cecil Field in 15:50.
