8th grader Avery Hartley of Cornerstone Classical Academy and the No Excuses RC is one of Florida's young FUTURE STARS. Hartley, in her 1st varsity outing this season, won the FLRUNNERS.COM Race of Champions with an 18:11.23. She is undefeated in the 3000m winning at the Clay County Cross Country Invitational and the Bale n Trail. As a 7th grader, she was 4th in last year's FLYRA MS State Cross Country Championships in 10:37.30. She was 2nd in the 800m at the FLYRA Middle School State Track and Field Championships with a 2:20.19 and 1st in the 3000m with a 9:59.65. In the Mile and the 1600, she has PR's of 4:59.80 and 4:58.15. and ran a 10:37.53 in the 3200m.
