Shynah Collins of Dillard is one of Florida's young FUTURE STARS, if she is not already a star. Last year, she was the #2 runner on the Dillard girls XC team as they captured their 1st ever 3A State Cross Country Team title. At the FHSAA State championship she finished 3rd overall in 18:26.50. This season she won the 3A girls race at Spanish River in 18:33.06, was 3rd in the Race of Champions at the FLRUNNERS.COM in 18:34.76, and set a New Course Record of 18:55.70 in winning the 3A District 7 race. AND, on the track last season, she was the #1 ranked girl in the state in the 800m with a 2:06.51, 2nd place finish at the Nike Outdoor Nationals and 3rd in the FHSAA State finals in the 400m in 54.68.
