He got the baton in second place about 4m back of Wilson.  The two ran stride for stride until about 180 left when Cox pulled up on Wilson's shoulder, and with just over 100m left, Cox took the lead and held on to power Miami Northwestern to a 3:08 74, running a 45.14 split. Miami Northwestern was composed of Makhii Fleming, Marckenzy Joseph, J'Vari Flowers, and Tywan Cox . Bullis finished second with a 3:09.97.
