FLR 11 Race of Champions: Final Team List

The entry deadline is coming up in less than a week (Sunday, September 26) and so far we have 175 schools signed up!  Here is the "final" list of the Race of Champions teams.

The only reason final is in quotes is that while we cap the race at 25 teams max... we are a couple of teams shy.  So there is a chance that if some last minute entry comes in from strong enough team or someone has an incredible weekend coming up then we'll consider adding.  But we will not fill it just for the sake of filling it.  Our other races are plenty competitive... so there is a certain standard that makes a ROC team... as a rough guide 17:30 boys or 21:15 girls team average... or another way to look at it would be top ten 2A, 3A, 4A caliber team or top five caliber 1A team.

Most of you know this, but as a reminder if a team has one or two strong individuals but the team isn't ROC strength then we do allow those runners to "race up".  But the requirement there is even more strict... the individual needs to be showing the potential to break 16 minutes for boys or 19 minutes for girls.

We will publish the enry lists for the other races later this week...  the other varsity divisions are the Invitational and Open on Saturday.  And then Large School and Small School on Friday.  We have Junior Varsity races on both days, along with a middle school race on Saturday and college races on Friday.

Let me know if you have any other questions or any teams here want to drop to the Invitational.  You can contact me via email (jason@flrunners.com) or comment to this article.
