Gaither Injured At CARIFTA Games

According to Osceola coach Eric Pinellas, star sprinter Tynia Gaither was injured at this weekends CARIFTA Games in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Pinellas says, "I just got off phone with her mom and she said she felt discomfort in her hamstring after the 100 meter semi's but decided to run the finals and noticed a knot in her hamstring and the training staff is working with Tynia to remedy the problem. As a result, Gaither who placed fifth in that 100 meters, pulled out of the 200, and 4x1.

She was set to return Tuesday to Kissimmmee and begin training for regionals this week and states next week. The Kowboys senior is looking to repeat as the 100 and 200 meter state champion.
