Footlocker Nationals: Interview with Justin Harbor

After a great race last week the vast majority of those responding to the flrunners.com poll this past week felt that FPC senior and Oregon signee Justin Harbor would be Florida\'s top finisher at Footlocker Nationals.

Unfortunately, it wasn\'t the best day for Harbor as he became disoriented and eventually fell down and needed medical assistance going up the big hill for the second time.

Justin it over with MileSplit reporter Don Rich, who was on site at the meet...

On today\'s race...

I went out pretty good. I went up the hill the first time and passed people, and then down the hill and passed people. Then coming up the hill right by the start, I started hyperventilating. I fell over. It just wasn\'t my day. Thank God I got here again. Some kids never get here once. They weren\'t the best experiences, but there are better races ahead. I am a little disappointed.

On what\'s next...

May do USA Junior XC at Van Cortlandt: I love that course. It\'s awesome... the best course I have ever run in my life.

I am looking fowarrd to track season and really tearing that up.

On what it takes to make Nationals...

Dude, work hard. There is nothing you can take to get here. Nobody you can know to get here. It\'s legit. You go to a regional, finish in the top, and you come. The biggest thing for me is my parents. They have been really good role models. If you want to get here, you can\'t just talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.
