Midway through my senior year I had a season ending hamstring injury and I had to try and rehabilitate before the end of the season. I was still injured entering into the districts and I had to end the season.
What will you miss the most?
I will miss training with my best friends during the fall, winter, and spring. I will also miss the coaching staff and the fun we had as a team.
What advice have your coaches had with respect to your performance and overall goals?
It was the positive feedback I consistently received and them telling me I could win a state championship. It became engrained in my thoughts and actions. The off season training in thesummer and fall played a major role in helping me achieve my goals. Most track athletes are not training during these times and I figured I could get ahead that way. It paid off.
What are your college plans?
I have signed with the University of North Florida for track and field. I chose North Florida because the coaching staff is excellent and the track facilities I believe are the best in southeast America. The school has high academic expectations and the quality of education is important to me.
What would you like to say Thank you to?
I want to thank my parents, oaches, and friends for their support and especially for my older sister, Shauna, for being a supportive sister and role model.
