The East team swept both All-Star championships, beating out the West in both rounds. On the boys side, that team battle came down to just one point!

Ace Brown of Ft. Myers led the way for the boys, winning with a 15:39 over a 16:46 by Daniel Fernandez of Columbus in the final cross country race of their high school careers. Tristan Kattenberg of Holy Trinity (15:50), Daniel Salas of Trinity Prep (16:05), and Abdin Fator of Sickles (16:07) rounded out the top five.

For the girls, it was a tight 1-2-3 battle to the finish between Ellyn Snider of Spanish River (18:43), Kaitlyn Campo of Olympia (18:47), and Catherine Blaney of Belleview (18:49). Amber Johnson of Dr. Phillips (19:20) and Scarlett Fox of Plant (19:25) nothced top five positions as well. Snider sat in third position at the mile mark, but broke the race open shortly thereafter, carrying a sizeable lead at two mile mark. Campo and Blaney made up some ground on the last mile, but Snider successfully kept them at bay.

FLRUNNERS.COM was a proud sponsor of this fine meet hosted by the FACA to honor our top senior cross country athletes again this year. We contributed the funds to outfit all of the athletes in quality East/West/South/North jerseys that hopefully they'll wear proudly for years to come as a memory of this meet and their fine careers. On behalf of flrunners.com and the FACA..... seniors, we salute you! Thanks for the memories!  Now on toward track!!!
