The 2013-2014 school year has provided some great highlights in both cross country and track across the Sunshine State. In the coming weeks many of our seniors will head out to start their college careers both athletically and academically. We wanted to salute them one more time in this special feature and say thank you for your support over the years.  

The drive from West Palm Beach was going to be a long one. So head coach John Battle III decided to bring his team up the night before so they could relax, get a look at the track and be ready for Saturday’s meet. It worked. The Chargers, boys and girls captured team titles at the massive invitational that drew more than 60 schools from all over the state.

Springstead senior Bobby Harris didn't sign on National Signing Day, but the extra time allowed him to find the perfect fit. One of the state's top high jumpers decided to stay in state and join a stellar all-around recreuiting class at the University of North Florida.

Ponte Vedra junior Nicole Greene went undefeated in 2013 including her second consecutive 3A state championship. At the Taco Bell Classic in South Carolina, she  tied a personal best of 5'10. On the boy's side Springstead senior Bobby Harris, the reigning 3A state champion has the highest mark at 6'9, but four jumpers are on his heals with a personal best of 6'8.
