Meet Information

Flagler Palm Coast High School invites you to attend the Spikes & Spurs Classic on Saturday, September 8th.
Coach Dave Halliday will serve as meet director. Chip Timing by Elite Timing for all races. Great awards and a fun course on around the Flagler County Fairgrounds, with a new mile wooded trail and finishing inside the Flagler Country Rodeo Arena!

The Spikes & Spurs Classic will consist of a High School, Open/Middle School 5k Run. The High school 5k will have a boys and a girls Varsity as well as a combined JV and Middle School race (with separate scoring). Varsity races are allowed to run 10 athletes. We will have a Community/Open 5k run.

This meet will be sanctioned for Georgia and any other states that will be attending. If any other states are attending please let me know so we can submit the sanctions.

Packet Pick-Up:
Packet pick up will start when the course opens Friday at 4 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. It will open again Saturday morning at 6:30a.m. Coaches must pay by mail to Flagler Palm Coast HS or have checks in hand to pick up their packets (check is in the mail does not count). Coaches please make sure you get your packets 30 minutes before your race to ensure enough time to get the timing chips signed out and onto your runners shoes.

Online Entry:
Registration will be on www.flrunners.com. Registration will end Wednesday, September 5th at midnight. High School & Middle School coaches please enter your entire roster not just your Varsity runners. There will be no day of entry! All & Community/OPEN 5k runners sign up the day-of.

Timing:
Elite Timing will be using the chip timing system. There will be mile marker clocks as well as instant results scrolling on the finish line display board. The open 5k will not be chipped timed. Chipped timed race results will be at: www.elitetiming.net

AWARDS:
Team Awards:
High School Varsity and Middle School Top-2 overall teams Boys and Girls will get trophies and t-shirts (for the top-10).

Individual Awards:
HS Varsity Top-20 receive medals, 21-50 ribbons.
HS JV Top-5 medals, 6-25 ribbons
Middle School Top-10 medals, 11-50 ribbons.
Community/Open 5k run Top-5 male and female overall will get medals, 6-25 ribbons

Course:
The course is 90% is on nice grass trails or dirt and gravel roads around the Flagler County Fairgrounds and finishes inside the Flagler County Rodeo. The course will be marked with mile markers as well as kilometer markers. The Course has been the host site of the 5-Star Conference Meet.

Event Shirts:
Event shirts will be on sale for $12.00 and in limited quantity to be guaranteed a t-shirt you can pre order by mailing team name, shirt sizes, quantity and check to: (shirts will be sold onsite as well)

Parking:
There will be a $10.00 per vehicle charge for spectator parking. Coaches please make sure your parents are aware of this!
