The referee will have the proper appeal form.
2AR1: Dan Dearing (Bolles), Tyrone McGriff (Florida High), Charlie Hunt (Episcopal), Coach Byas (Bay), John Loper
(Bradford)
2AR2: TBA at Coaches meeting
Situations subject to appeal include: 1) Misapplication of the rules, which must be filed within 30 minutes of the announcements of results. 2) Correction of Clerical or team scoring errors which must be made within 48 hours of the end of the meet. 3) Correction of meet results involving an ineligible participant which may be made at any time when discovered. 4) Failure to follow a procedure contained in the terms and conditions of competition announced in advance by the meet director, such as time schedule, advancement of athletes, . . .
Situations not subject to appeal include: 1) Any judgment decision pertaining to violation or alleged violation of the rules. 2) A decision made by the timers that does not involve misapplication of a rule or the terms and conditions of competition. 3) Whether a start is fair and/or legal.
Excused Competitors: A ten-minute time limit has been established by the games committee for excused field event competitors to compete in another event.
Scratched Competitors: A contestant who is entered in an event in a state series meet on any level and is later scratched from that event will be disqualified from participating in all remaining events in the meet as well as the remainder of the state series.
Meal Tickets: Each School will be given two meal tickets for their coaches. This will allow you a hamburger and a drink. Please, this is for head coaches only and only two will be given per school. Coaches must be present at the coaches meeting to receive the meal tickets.
Warm-up area: The warm-up area is the back field, near where the athletes will enter that track at the clerks table. Athletes will be given enough time to do some strides on the track before their races begin.
Athletic Trainers: Will be available beginning at 11:00 inside the track area.
Parking: Parking at Bolles can be difficult during the school day. We have arranged to use a local shopping area parking lot about a half mile from the track and will run a shuttle constantly from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. We encourage all spectators to take advantage of this. Also, if bus parking becomes full, we encourage busses to drop off the students and also take advantage of this extra lot. A map showing the location of this lot is attached at the end of this packet.
Relay Cards: Will be filled out by teams as they check in at the clerks table. Please include the four athletes competing as well as two alternates for the state meet. You may, of course, change relay squads at the state meet, but athletes not on your card will not be granted free admission to the state meet.
