Meet Information
The 53rd Annual Ed Wells Jr.-Kiwanis Invitational will be held on March 13, 2015. The entry fee is $80 per school. That includes both the boys and girls team. If only one team competes, the fee is $40. This is a quality meet which is run in accordance to the National Federation of High Schools Track and Field rules. This is a meet in which medals are awarded to the top eight places in each event. And, as always, two coaches from each team are provided with a free meal voucher.
Coaches meeting at 2:15. Field events begin at 2:30. Prelims for the running events begin at 3:00. Consolation heats will be run at 6:00. The finals begin at 7:00.
A reminder: In fairness to all teams, each school may only enter two athletes per event (unlimited entry for 8, 16, and 32, with non qualifiers running in consolation heats). Please do not list fictitious times or distances. Teams must register by 11:59pm on March 10th to be entered, and this deadline will not be extended. Please do not register athletes who may not participate and remember no additions or substitutions will take place.
Field events will be limited to top sixteen marks registered. Qualifiers in throws and horizontal jumps will be given four attempts with no finals. The following events will be limited to the top sixteen qualifying times registered and will not have prelims:
400 meter
300 hurdles
800 meter
1600 meter
3200 meter
Consolation Heats will be run after Prelims for those that dont qualify in the 800, 1600, and 3200 from 6pm to 7pm. Times from the Consolation Heats will carry over to the finals with a maximum of four athletes per school scoring.

If you would like to run an event or have a preference, please email RJ Denton at Clearwater High, dentonr@pcsb.org. A list of responsibilities will be published by March 10th.
