Schedule:
3:00 p.m. - coaches' meeting (field event assignments will be made)
4:00 p.m. - field events (4 attempts, no finals) & 4 x 800m relay
6:00 p.m. - running finals (all running events are finals based on time)
Field Events:
Four efforts in jumps and throws. All finals. Check in at designated areas on arrival.
Order: Girls' shot and boys' discus then the reverse at the conclusion of each. High jump and pole vault girls followed by boys. Long jump both boys and girls followed by triple jump boys and girls. Boys jump on east end and girls jump on west end.
Field event assignments: will be made at the coaches meeting.
Scoring: Individual events 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relays 10-8-6-4-2-1.
Awards: Top 3 team trophies and 1-3 individual awards in each event.
Running Events - No Prelims. All finals and are seeded. Girls then boys on each event. All athletes enter track from the east gate and exit at west end of track. Athletes must check in to the clerk at first call. Let them know! Don't let them get disqualified. Uniform rule in effect.
No coaches on infield. No one on infield except athletes warming up on the east end of the field.
Team Area: All teams on the retention area near check in. NO ATHLETES IN THE STANDS.
Warm up area: East side of infield area, marked by cones
Hospitality: Concession vouchers provided in packet
A trainer will be on site.
PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR TEAM AREA AT COMPLETION. TRASH CANS PROVIDED.
Full concession stand will be open. There are no outside water fountains at MHS. Teams are NOT allowed to bring grills or any type of cooking devices.
