Ed Wells Kiwanis Invitational Virtual Meet: Steinbrenner, Lakewood To Contend For Team Titles Mar 10, 2016

The Lakewood and Steinbrenner girls and boys have been two of the top tier programs in both Pinellas and Hillsborough Country respectively. The Steinbrenner boys won the Wharton Wildcat Invite while the girls were second. The Spartans swept a similar field at the East Lake Early Bird Invitational. They will meet at the Ed Wells Kiwanis Invitational at Clearwater High School. There's a lot of history in the 54th Annual Ed Wells Kiwanis Invite. Meet records still hold from the mid-90s, even some from the 70s and 80s. A few meet records fell on Friday at Clearwater High School, albeit on the girls side with a shorter meet history.
