2AR1 Championship Track and Field Meet
At The Bolles School

12:00 AM - Coaches Meeting in the Colmery Skills Center (under stadium, next to tennis courts)
Meet Director: Dan Dearing Meet Referee: Lionel Bonck
Timing: Half Mile Timing Admission: $6.00
Jury of Appeals: A head coach must first consult with the meet referee to discuss all potential appeals. If the coach feels that the terms and conditions of competition or the application of the rules have been misapplied or misinterpreted after consulting the referee, a written appeal shall be made to the jury. The referee will have the proper appeal form. Members will be a head coach from: Bishop Kenny, West Florida, Raines, Florida High, Pensacola Catholic.
Situations subject to appeal include: 1) Misapplication of the rules, which must be filed within 30 minutes of the announcements of results. 2) Correction of Clerical or team scoring errors which must be made within 48 hours of the end of the meet. 3) Correction of meet results involving an ineligible participant which may be made at any time when discovered. 4) Failure to follow a procedure contained in the terms and conditions of competition announced in advance by the meet director, such as time schedule, advancement of athletes, . . .
Situations not subject to appeal include: 1) Any judgment decision pertaining to violation or alleged violation of the rules. 2) A decision made by the timers that does not involve misapplication of a rule or the terms and conditions of competition. 3) Whether a start is fair and/or legal.
Excused Competitors: A twelve-minute time limit has been established by the games committee for excused field event competitors to compete in another event.
Scratched Competitors: A contestant who is entered in an event in a state series meet on any level and is later scratched from that event will be disqualified from participating in all remaining events in the meet as well as the remainder of the state series.
Meal Tickets: Each School will be given two meal tickets for their coaches. This will allow you a slice of pizza and a drink. Please, this is for head coaches only and only two will be given per school. Coaches must be present at the coaches meeting to receive the meal tickets.
Warm-up area: The warm-up area is the back field, near where the athletes will enter that track at the clerks table. Athletes will be given enough time to do some strides on the track before their races begin.
Athletic Trainers: Will be available beginning at 12:00 inside the track area.
Relay Cards: Will be filled out by teams as they check in at the clerks table for all relay races. Please include the four athletes competing as well as two alternates for the state meet. You may, of course, change relay squads at the state meet. For the 4X100, your relay cards for prelims will be returned to the clerks table for you to indicate who is competing in finals.
4X800 begins at 1:00 PM.
Field events beginning at 1:00 PM.
Boys Long Jump, Girls Long Jump, Girls Discus (followed by Boys), Girls Pole Vault

Field Events beginning at 3:00 PM (or at conclusion of 1:00 events, if later)
Boys Triple Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Girls Shot Put (followed by Boys), Girls High Jump

Running Prelims begin at 4:00 PM and will be in the following order (girls then boys):
100/110m High Hurdles, 100m, 4X100m Relay, 400m, 300m Hurdles, 200m with the top three
in each heat and the next two fastest times advancing to finals. There will be periodic breaks between these races to simulate the state meet schedule as much as time allows.
Running Finals begin at 7:00 PM. There will be periodic breaks between these races to simulate the state meet schedule as much as time allows.
Awards Ceremony will be around 9:30 PM.

This is a postseason meet and postseason rules apply, without exception. Excess celebration or profanity use is an automatic disqualification.

** The only people allowed on the infield are athletes while they are competing and meet officials while they are officiating - that includes staying behind the fence near the high jump/long jump area. There will be no exceptions for this. Once the field events are completed, there should be only meet officials on the infield. The only entrance to the track will be through the clerks table.
** Teams may set up tents, tarps, etc, behind the visitor's bleachers. Teams may not set up anywhere near the track-that includes the high jump, long jump, and pole vault area.
