Coaches,

Congratulations on qualifying for regionals! Please carefully read the meet information below for an explanation of the meets structure, process, and procedures.

Attention Coaches: Due to poor weather conditions tomorrow, the course preview and packet pick-up will be cancelled. Saturday morning is planned to proceed as scheduled below. Meet info packets will be available for pick-up at the facility entrance on Saturday morning.

Team Packets: Team packets will contain a course map, 4 coaches wristbands, 2 parking passes, and a meet information sheet.

Lane Assignments: Lane assignments will be drawn at random and posted to the flrunners.com meet

page on Sunday, 10/31.

Event Timing: Miles & Minutes will be timing the meet, you can pick up your timing chips at the check-in

tent the day of the meet. You will return the timing chips back to the check-in tent after the meet. Any

missing chips will cost you $20 per chip and will be billed to your school.

Results: Results will be posted on http://www.milesplit.live/

Awards: Your athlete must be present during the awards ceremony to receive their awards. We will not

be giving them out before the awards ceremony! Top 10 finishers will receive medals and the team meet

champs and the team runners-up will receive trophies.

Parking and Entry: There will be a $5 parking fee and a $7 spectator fee at the gate. All individuals are

subject to the parking fee; with the exception of charter busses and school busses and team vehicles with

a parking pass. All individuals are subject to the spectator fee except athletes wearing a team jersey and a

race bib and individuals wearing a coaches wristband. Tickets can be purchased online at

Team Tents: The team tent area will be along the sideline opposite of the home bleachers. You can place

your team tent anywhere within that area (see course map for additional details).

Trainer and Medical Assistance: The trainer and trained medical staff will be located at the finish line

near the hydration station at the medical tent. If you have an athlete with a medical need including firstaid treatment, pre-race wrapping and post-race icing, please send them to the medical tent.

Timing Issues: Please address all timing issues with me or take a written statement with your issue to the

check-in tent and they will get in touch with me, so I can get it to the timer.

4.5.2.4.5 Jury of Appeals

(a) A Jury of Appeals consisting of five coaches from five different participating schools shall be appointed by the

meet manager for each meet in the Florida High School State Championship Series. Five alternate jurors shall also

be appointed. A Jury of Appeals consisting of five members is mandatory. There can be no ruling rendered

without five jurors.

(d) The Jury of Appeals may meet 15 minutes following the conclusion of the final race of each classification, and

should conclude all rulings prior to the awards ceremony for that classification.

(e) The head coach of a team who wishes to file an appeal must do so in writing. The appeals process will adhere

to NFHS Case Book guidelines.

(f) The decision of the Jury of Appeals shall be final. The Jury of Appeals cannot set aside any rule.

4.5.2.3.4 Advancement of Teams and Individuals

(b) Regional Meet to Florida High School State Championship Series. The first eight (8) placing teams and the top

three (3) placing individuals who are not members of an advancing team shall advance to the Florida High School

State Championship Meet. A runner who qualifies as a member of a qualifying team may be replaced in the team

lineup by a substitute. The substitute, however,

shall not be eligible for individual honors on any subsequent level of competition.

4.5.2.3.1 Teams

A team shall be composed of five (5) to seven (7) runners during regionals. Schools that enter fewer than five (5)

runners, and schools from which fewer than five (5) runners finish the race, at any Florida High School State

Championship Series meet shall not be eligible for team honors. Individual contestants from such schools,

however, may earn individual awards.
