Gulf Coast Runners is thrilled to offer a FLYRA Middle School State Qualifier event for the middle school and elementary athletes of southwest Florida at the beautiful First Baptist Academy track & field facility in Naples!
FIRST BAPTIST ACADEMY - 3000 Orange Blossom Drive (corner of Livingston and Orange Blossom).
When selecting athletes from your team to enter please keep in mind that this meet is intended to be a FLYRA State Qualifier and only select athletes who are ready to compete against this level of competition.
MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD EVENTS: Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump
MIDDLE SCHOOL RUNNING EVENTS: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000, 100m Hurdles, 4x100 Relay, 4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay
ELEMENTARY FIELD EVENT: Long Jump only
ELEMENTARY RUNNING EVENTS: 100, 400, 1500
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (SLIGHT CHANGE FROM ORIGINAL SCHEDULE!)
8:00 AM 3000 meter run. Girls followed by boys.
8:30 AM Field Events - Girls Discus followed by boys. Boys shot put followed by girls. Girls LJ, followed by boys, followed by elementary girls and boys. Boys HJ followed by girls.
9:00 AM 4x800 Relay. Girls followed by boys.
9:45 AM or at conclusion of field events (whichever is LATER). Will not start before 9:45. 100m hurdles, 100m, Elementary 100m, 1500m, 4x100 Relay, 400m, Elementary 400m, 800m, 200m, Elementary 1500m, 4x400 Relay . All events are girls heats followed by boys.
AWARDS
Top 3 finishers in each middle school event will receive medals. Top 3 finishers in each elementary event will receive ribbons. Awards will be available for pickup as soon as official results are posted. We will also be recognizing State Qualifying performances over the PA as they happen.
PAYMENT/ENTRY FEES
Entry fees will be calculated for each individual entering as follows: $10 for first event entered; $5 for each subsequent event including relays; 4 event maximum for Middle School athletes, 3 event maximum for Elementary school athletes.
