The South Fort Myers star and Clemson signee won the 200 in a time of 21.11. He also was second in the 100 and ran on the schools 4x4 team that placed second as well.

The Jones sophomore had an impressive campaign winning the 100 (10.69), anchoring the winning 4x1 team in a personal best and US#5 (40.94), and finishing second in the 200 meters (21.35).

WINTER PARK - For Episcopal track and football standout Garrett Scantling, it was a day of great success and a little disappointment at the Class 2A state track and field meet Friday at Showalter Field in Winter Park.Add in a big decision the day before, and it's been a memorable weekend.Scantling won his first-state championship when he cleared 15 feet in the pole vault. He narrowly missed at 15-6, but was still a foot higher than all but one other competitor.In the high jump, Scantling cleared 6-6 but missed all three attempts at 6-8 to finish fifth.
