The ZONE Has Class

Once upon a time there was a web site, and this web site did very well. Though it started slowly it gained in popularity and grew. First this web site covered just one team, the Sebring Blue Streaks, but it grew like all good web sites do. It grew and grew-until it covered the whole Florida 4A classification! And it was known far and wide as "that 4A running site" or simply "the 4A site." However, the web site kept growing, and then it grew so much it covered all classifications in Florida.

Sounds like a children's story, but that's exactly the situation we have here. In January of this year, it was announced that the site would remove its 4A-only designation and former name "Florida 4A Runners' Zone," to the "Florida Runners' Zone" and that we would cover all classifications in distance running accross Florida. It seems our positive reputation as the site for Florida 4A running has actually worked against us to some extent.

We have been phasing our all classifications status in throughout the track season, and with the start of the 1999 cross country season, our transformation is complete. The only problem is by being known as a 4A site, it has been dificult and slow going in getting as much following from the other classes. So we want to announce everyone in distance running regardless of classification, that the Zone is your site for everything Florida running. We ecourage the other classes not to take a back seat and get involved in the site and the message board.
