A total of 14 different teams traveled to St. Cloud Saturday morning for the annual St. Cloud Invitational. They were treated to comfortable fall weather, hometown winners, and a puddle riddled course. Rain altered practice for several teams this week, but it gave the course some added challenges.

Hometown favorite Grace Miller came up just short last year in this race, but took control from the start today and never let up as she cruised to victory in 19:41. Someone told her it was local City of Life in a pack behind her, but it was Timber Creek that was the story of the day as they put on a show by taking places 2-6 in dominating fashion. Coach Gardner wanted to treat this as a workout as they prepare for next weeks Flrunners ROC in Titusville. St Cloud finished up a comfortable 2nd over Ridge Community.
The guys had a similar dominating performance from cross town rival Liberty. They were led once again by Rogelio Araiza who won in 16:59, eight seconds ahead of teammate Justin Corinealdi. Liberty took five of the top six places. Harmony’s Canyon Huff broke the perfect score attempt by taking 3rd with a nice kick in the last ¼ mile. The Timber Creek boys were second.
