For this rendition of Throwback Thursday, we take a look at the top times at Foot Locker Nationals by Florida athletes. The Sunshine State will be represented by two athletes this year in Miami Sunset senior and UF signee Nick Diaz and Merritt Island junior Steven Cross.

Throughout the meet's history starting with it's days as the Kinney Cross Country Championship, only a handful of Florida boys have finished 10th or better, while none of have finished in the top five.

The girls on the other hand have better luck! Ashley Brasovan (pictured above) ran 17:20 as a junior to win the national title and was runner-up the following year with a time of 17:25.

Olympian Jenny Simpson (formerly Barringer) was third as an Oviedo High School junior in 2003 and followed that up with a tenth place showing as a senior in 2004.
