Here are the candidates for week four of the Florida outdoor season.
Zamarii Sanders of Cardinal Newman is in the Top 0.1% in the U.S. in the 100m and 200m. The senior ran a 10.08 100m and a 20.46 200m at the Ellis Elite 16. His 100m is Florida No. 1 and current U.S. No. 3. His 200m is Florida No. 1 and current U.S. No. 4.
Marcelo Mantecon of Belen ran two U.S. No. 2's over the weekend at the Bolles Bulldog Classic. The junior ran an incredible quadruple over the weekend, running a leg on the winning 4x800m relay, winning the 1600m in 4:12.13, winning the 800m in 1:51.75, and winning the 3200m in 8:58. His 800m and 3200m times are Florida No. 1's. He is ranked No. 1 in Florida in the 1600m with a previous 4:06.86. His 800m and 3200m are both currently U.S. No. 2. His 1600m is U.S. No. 1.
Kedric Wright Jr is ranked in the Top 0.1% in the U.S. in the 400m. The Palatka HS junior ran a 47.23 400m at the Bolles Bulldog Classic to take over the top spot in the state 400m rankings (U.S. No. 11).
Jeremiah Lysius of Park Vista HS High Jumped 6-9.5. The junior's jump, coming at the Ellis Elite 16 meet, is a new Florida No. 1 (U.S. No. 8)
Junior Jeremy Mango of Rickards HS ran the 110mH at the Ellis Elite 16 meet in a state-leading 13.92 (U.S. No. 2).
Junior Charlie Perkins of Niceville broke the 60-00. barrier in the shot at the Ellis Elite 16 meet with a state-leading toss of 60-10.5, and threw a Florida No. 2, 184-4 in the Discus.
Senior Brison Sullivan of New Smyrna Beach HS threw a Florida No. 1 and U.S. No.1 in the Javelin with a throw of 63.41m (208-0.25).
Junior Samuel Johnson of Montverde Academy Triple Jump 14.91m (48-11). His jump is a Florida No. 1 and current U.S No. 2.
