Despite getting a tough lane one assignment for the invitational boys 100 at the Mobile Challenge of Champions on Saturday in Alabama, Pine Forest's Marcus Reaves simply used the position to his advantage.
His competition to the middle lanes couldn't see him coming until it was too late and he had already pulled away from them all in a new personal best and wind legal time of 10.69. If not for running into a -1.9 headwind, Reaves could have ran even much faster!
After high top finishes at the FSU Relays (3rd, 10.76) and Bob Hayes Invitational (2nd, 10.71) , the senior Heaves finally get his first signature win of the 2016 outdoor season with his race in Mobile.
Reaves also ran anchor leg for the Pine Forest boys 4x100, which finished 3rd overall in the race with a time of 41.20 that ranks them #3 in the state of Florida this spring.
