Ponte Vedra junior Claire Mortiz helped the Sharks take a bite out of the competition and win 3A District 4. Moritz was one of three runners on the day to run under 19 minutes (18:26.70) joining Lauren Stanford (18:34.50), and Creekside's Claire Openshaw (18:47.10). A total of 16 girls broke 19 during districts. On the boy's side, six guys broke 16 minutes led by state leader Matthew Clark of Creekside who won 3A-4 in 15:43.64.
