What he has done: Curtis Williams opened up his season this past weekend at the Chiles Track and Field Relays. The Leon sophomore won the long jump in 6.98m and finished third in the 200m running a PR of 23.20. Last year, Williams was the 3A district 3 and region 1 long jump champion in 6.62m and 6.77m. He then finished up his season with a fifth place finish at state in 6.71.
What's to come: Williams has already had two huge PRs to kick off his season. If he continues to progress like this we could see a top three finish at state in the long jump. Williams also holds PRs of 1.83m in the high jump and 52.56 in the 400m.
