
Last year we saw two of the state's top athletes, Valerie Lastra and Carly McNatt, battle down to the finish in the FLR19 Race of Champions.
These ladies were .02 seconds apart at the finish with McNatt setting a new Holloway Park course record in 17:45.75 with Lastra right behind in 17:45.77.
It was one of the best finish battles in FLRunners history and had everyone at the finish line screaming --shocked by the time on the clock at the always tough, Holloway Park.
McNatt and Lastra led the way for some of the best performances on the Holloway Park course -- with 13 girls breaking the 19 minute barrier.
This year, both ladies are scheduled to compete and race head to head once again with a strong group of Florida's fastest joining them. You will want to be there on September 28th to watch another epic finish.
