Florida Athletes Bring Home Fast Times From Great American

Many Florida athletes traveled up to North Carolina to race on the WakeMed course at the Great American Festival. 

Anderson Denton had a breakout race, running a state leading time of 14:57 to finish third overall. Satellite and Belen were the top team finishers in the race of champions with their 7th and 8th place finishes as they push for a Nike Cross Nationals team qualifying spot later this November.

On the girls side, Alyssa Hendrix was the top Florida finisher with a fourth place 17:30 performance. Tsion Yared finished fifth with her teammate, Emily Faulhaber, having a PR setting performance of 17:56. Yared and Faulhaber led their team to a stellar third place finish in the race of champions.
