While the majority of the state competed at the FSU Pre-State Invite, the Bolles ladies were racing in cooler weather in New York at the Manhattan Invitational.
The Lady Bulldogs sent three squads to compete, their varsity girls finishing 2nd in the competitive Eastern States 4k race against New York powerhouse, Fayetteville Manlius.
Led by freshmen, Elizabeth Csikai and Ella Mickler who ran 15:03 and 15:10 for the 2.5 mile distance, the team scored a total of 122 points. Their pack running, still great as ever. Maxine Montoya, Layne Rivera, and Jillian Candelino rounded out their top five all sub 16:10.
Bolles wasn't done with their Eastern States podium finish. Their two JV squads also dominated. Their team in the JV C race, led by junior, Catherine Kunz, took fourth place overall and their team in the JV D race had a 1,2,3 individual sweep along with a team win led by eighth grader, Leila Bata.
