Samantha Kavanagh (Northeast) - Girls 800m
One of Florida's fastest this spring at 800 meters with the fourth-ranked time statewide in a 2:10.45 season and personal best run at her regional meet, the 3A state runner-up Samantha Kavanagh will hope that racing head to head with a sub 2:10 performer in state leader Jessica Edwards will help pull her under that coveted time barrier. After running 2:11 at the state meet as a freshman, she is due for breakthrough performance and could happen on Friday at Golden South.
