The Somerset Academy Pembroke Pines girls put on a dominant show at the 2A District 14 meet including a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100 meter dash with all sub 12 second performances by Ariyanna Griggs (11.70), Skye Jackson (11.79), and Aleesa Samuel (11.94). They did the same sweep in the 200 meter dash as well in the same order with Griggs (24.25), Jackson (24.34), and Samuel (24.82). Samuel won the 100 meter hurdles with a swift 13.75 clocking, while Griggs and Jackson went 1-2 in the 400 meter dash. Their 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays also qualified onto the regional meet including a 4:01 victory in the 4x400.
